Covid-19 Update: This page reflects our ‘normal’ circumstances. Please click here for an update on how we are running in light of current government guidelines.
Our Singing for Pleasure choir is designed for the over 50s, for benefits to health and to have fun.
It is a drop-in choir, led by Sally Mears and accompanied by Oliver Nicholls. The group meets on term-time Fridays at Abbey Baptist Church, Checker Walk. The session starts at 11.15am with tea / coffee and biscuits before singing from 11.40am until 12.40pm.
Although it is a weekly drop-in, there are over 20 singers who rehearse weekly with the group. All singers are over 50 and some are even over 90!
The group is much in demand to perform at local venues (performances are optional).
