The choir sing in three parts (SSA – Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto). The Choir is well-established and prepares a variety of music for pure enjoyment and local performance.
As well as a great opportunity to sing, the choir regularly performs in local concerts and festivals. The aim of this choir is simply the enjoyment of singing together and the rehearsals are relaxed and great fun. Great fun and enjoyment does not mean we don’t strive to improve and there is always a challenge as we approach more complex music. The choir is directed by Mary Wade and accompanied by Rob Thomas.
We currently have approximately 40 members. We have a good balance of Sopranos and Altos and a wide variety of ages. Members clearly enjoy their weekly rehearsals, plus the performances and socials that go alongside this.

The Choir is a delightful way to spend a Tuesday. Singing and laughter under Mary’s wit and expertise is always good.

I have been a member of the Choir for a few years now. Mary always manages to find a variety of interesting and challenging music. Her enthusiasm rolls onto us and we all enjoy the time in a friendly atmosphere with lots of laughter amidst the singing.
