Katy Whittle has been playing the cello since the age of 6 when she fell in love with the beautiful sound of the instrument. 

On completing her studies at both the Royal Northern College of Music and Royal College of Music the cello has taken her to different countries to teach and perform.

Her experience varies from teaching large and small groups and individual lessons on the cello at various music services and preparatory schools.

She currently teaches cello from beginner to Grade 8 and beyond and performs with various orchestras including The BBC Concert Orchestra and London Concert Orchestra. 

Her main objective is to help each unique person of any age and ability to have fun whilst striving to play the cello.
