Holiday Music Workshops

Tuesdays (during half-term holidays) – NOT YET RESTARTING

Half- or full-day workshops combining craft and music are regularly held in the February, May and October school holidays. Children are able to learn or create new songs and explore a range of instruments (percussion for younger students plus tuned instruments for older students), before giving a performance to parents/carers at the end of the workshop.

Workshops are designed to support the Primary Music Curriculum. All sessions take place at at Abingdon Music Centre (at Larkmead School).

  • Workshops for Reception to Year 2 children usually run between 9.30am and 12pm.
  • Workshops for Year 3 to Year 6 children usually run between 9.15am and 3.15pm.

Recent workshop themes include:

  • Traditional tales
  • Cartoons
  • Reggae
  • Sailors and pirates
  • Creepy crawlies
  • Junk
  • Superheroes
  • Blues

Please contact the Abingdon Music Centre office for further information about our workshops or to reserve a place on the next one.

Both my children have been taking music lessons at Abingdon Music Centre for the past 3 years. They also attend the half term music workshops which they thoroughly enjoy.
